CRAFTBEER-JP Quiet Japanese craft beer, documented for the world.
CraftBeer-JP is a calm, independent studio and archive dedicated to Japanese craft beer culture —
brewed in small towns, coastal cities, and mountain valleys, then shown to the world through stillness, light, and careful words.
No loud festival shots. No shouting. Just the sound of pouring beer, stainless steel tanks, quiet taprooms, and the people who make and enjoy them — one glass at a time.
Not a rating site. Not a ranking site. A place where Japanese craft beer is recorded gently — for one person at home, or two people sharing a quiet table.
Brew day, early afternoon.
A slow archive & a working studio.
CraftBeer-JP has two roles. First, we are a quiet archive, slowly collecting images, notes, and stories about Japanese craft beer. Second, we are a small studio that creates international-ready media for breweries, bars, and regions that want to speak to the world.
What we care about.
- Beer as regional culture and everyday comfort, not just a product.
- The space around the glass: the room, the table, the person holding it.
- Breweries and taprooms as quiet social spaces, not only events.
- Showing Japan’s craft beer in a way that feels honest, calm, and export-ready.
Our perspective is simple: one person, or two people, enjoying a beer in a quiet place. Everything we make starts from there.
CraftBeer-JP is operated from Japan by a creator who has actually worked inside a brewery and understands both the production floor and the glass on the table. We combine on-site photography, AI-enhanced visuals, and bilingual writing to build material that can travel beyond Japan.
We are not affiliated with any single brewery. We stay independent so we can document broadly, and help multiple players tell their stories.
If you brew or pour, this part is for you.
Many Japanese breweries and beer bars have beautiful spaces and strong beer, but lack the time, staff, or language to communicate that to the world. CraftBeer-JP exists to quietly solve that problem.
We visit your brewery or bar and create a small, focused set of visuals:
- Ambient still photography (brew house, taproom, glass, hands).
- Short vertical and horizontal clips for reels and stories.
- Detail shots that show stainless, wood, steam, labels, and foam.
Not a big film crew — just calm, respectful documentation with the eye of someone who understands production.
We prepare concise English brewery / bar profiles for:
- Your own website and social media.
- International festivals and collaborations.
- Inbound visitors searching for “Japanese craft beer”.
Clear, simple English — written with native-level support and checked from the point of view of actual drinkers abroad.
We also curate regional feature pages on CraftBeer-JP:
- “Fuji foothills and mountain breweries”
- “Coastal towns and sea-view taprooms”
- “Onsen, quiet inns, and local beer”
Being part of a regional story helps international visitors discover you as part of a trip, not just a single destination.
Simple, quiet packages that fit real life.
We prefer small, honest packages that suit independent breweries, bars, and regional projects — not giant agencies. Below are starting points; all work is customized around your actual space and schedule.
For independent breweries and beer bars who want a calm, international-ready presence.
- On-site photo session (2–3 hours, one location).
- Selection and light retouch of 20–30 key photos.
- 5–8 short video clips for reels / stories.
- English brewery / bar profile text (approx. 400–600 words).
- Short Japanese summary for your own use.
Pricing: tailored by project size and travel. Typical range for small venues: suitable for independent budgets, quoted case by case.
For local tourism bodies, inns, or groups of breweries that want to present their area as a calm craft beer destination.
- Region-level feature page on CraftBeer-JP (English-first).
- Coverage of 3–5 venues (breweries, bars, inns, bottle shops).
- Shared visual style to tie the area together.
- Optional: short “quiet journey” film edit for web & social.
Suitable for regional collaborations, grant-supported projects, or tourism campaigns. We discuss format and budget with you openly.
Note for breweries and bars:
We can work in Japanese for on-site communication, planning, and invoicing, while still delivering English-facing media for your international visitors and partners.
If you are not sure where to start, a simple email is enough.
For the person who drinks quietly at home.
CraftBeer-JP is also for you — the person who opens a bottle or pours a glass at home, or finds a quiet corner seat at a small bar. We publish slow, reflective pieces about how Japanese craft beer fits into quiet days, rainy evenings, and winter nights.
Short essays and photo sets about simple, one-glass evenings: a can or bottle from a small brewery, a glass, a record, a window, and time to taste.
Focused on calm, not consumption: how beer anchors small moments, especially for people who prefer solitude or small company.
Stories from quiet daytime visits: lunch beers by a window, post-hike pints, train stop detours, and other gentle encounters with beer in bright hours.
Not about getting drunk — about how one glass can mark a pause in a busy day or a traveling journey.
Pieces that pair beer with seasons: rain on the coast, snow in a mountain town, summer evenings by the river, autumn air outside a small bar.
We aim to connect beer not only to taste notes, but to light, temperature, and sound.
How we usually work with you.
Every brewery, bar, and region is different. But most collaborations follow a simple, transparent path.
1 · Listening & planning
You send a short email about who you are and what you need.
We ask for basic information: location, size, opening days, goals.
Together we decide what kind of media set makes sense now.
No complicated forms. A few clear emails are enough to start.
2 · On-site day
We visit your brewery or bar on a calm day or off-peak time.
We work with natural movement: real brewing, real pouring, real guests or staged as needed.
We minimize disruption — we know hot vessels and busy taps cannot stop for the camera.
3 · Quiet editing
We select photos and clips that match the atmosphere of your place.
We write or refine English profiles and short Japanese summaries.
We prepare files and simple usage notes for your team.
4 · Delivery & follow-up
We deliver via online folder (organized for easy reuse).
Optional: brief call to discuss how to use assets effectively.
If both sides agree, we may also feature you on CraftBeer-JP.
Long-term, we aim to become “the quiet media partner” you call when something changes: a new beer, a new room, a new season.
Talk to CraftBeer-JP.
If you run a brewery, bar, bottle shop, inn, or regional project and feel that this quiet approach fits you, we would be glad to hear from you.
You do not need a perfect English message — simple is enough.
Please tell us where you are, what you do, and what you hope to show.
If you are a drinker or writer, you can also reach out about stories.
